I like to stay at best western rooms then Cranbrook hotel

best western receptionist where wonderful, due to maintenance problem they helped me to get to another hotel, dropped me off in there car and breakfast arranged as well. so very happy with the out come. very nice and polite.

but the other hotel, the room was at the top, a loft converted to a room so walking up the stairs was a killer, complimentary toiletries wasn’t the same as the service I get in best western, they need to have the same a best western, when guest need to be transferred there and very had to open the shower taps. had facility for making tea but no mugs or tea cups left to use.

Decent hotel, convenient location, good VFM for London

Location is good, near the shops, bus stops nearby and a tube station minutes away. My room was a bit cramped (although OK by London standards I guess). Quite clean, heating was fine, had some storage space, lighting OK. Nice big windows (street level). Medium sized flat-screen on the wall, and wifi worked fine. Bed was quite comfortable. Breakfast was varied and not bad at all. Overall - good VFM - reasonable price for a decent hotel with easy access to central London.

Check-in was a bit spotty: I had asked for early check-in and was told there would be no problem, but that didn't work out as planned. Still, did get a room a little early. The shower seemed a little low quality difficult to get the water temperature to stay the same & a shower head holder was broken.

Not a comfortable stay.

Location was ideal as we needed to be In the centre.

The first thing was as you entered the room was the smell, it was like if someone had been smoking in the room The bathroom was clean but very old fixtures which were covered in rust. Beds had no headboards,(which was not a problem)the walls were dirty directly were your pillows were, The carpet was the main thing it was not only dirty but sticky, you couldn't walk on it bare feet, without been sick.,we had stayed at this hotel well over 10 times in the last 5/7 years in all the different rooms and all my family and friends stay there too every time they are in London, but this time we were let down very badly. Hotel needs to spend time and effort on updating the suite we stayed in. Overall the hotel is a decent hotel, To hotel management, Please don't take this as a bad review but as a feedback back. Probably will stay again if things are improved or given another room.

Good

The hotel was cozy and very close to metro station. Bed was comfy and overall nice stay.

The WiFi was not working properly and even after repeated complains it was not fixed. Even the intercoms were not working and so for communicating to other room and reception was difficult at times. This should be improved.

not worth the money

the staff was friendly, especially Petra was very caring. She organised a room change and clarified other issues we were not content about. also the short way to the Ilford station (Elizabeth line) was an advantage.

the first room we were offered was horrible, the floor and the bathroom were dirty. the door seemed to have been cracked before and from the street you entered directly into the room. with 3 teenage girls we didn't want to spend there one night. the other room we had was very very tiny and from the bathroom came a strong chloride smell - almost like in a not clean swimming pool. we all know what that that means.... the breakfast was okay but could have been better especially the eggs. the breakfast bag we got for the leaving day due to a very early flight was an unreasonable demand. we would not come back again.

Beds are not comfortable at all. Very cheap but due to the price was understandable. We was on the cranbrook road branch very noisy and loud didnt sleep all night.

Good hotel for price

The facilities were a bit small but fully equipped TV, kettle, shower etc. Comfortable bed changed every morning and breakfast was self service but very good selection from cooked breakfast to fruit, yogurt, fruit juices, cereals etc. The only problem was noise from next rooms as if their shooting down phones etc.

Breakfast was good and close to pubs etc. The Ilford station is right round to corner from hotel which takes you to Liverpool street station. Staff were pleasant and helpful. took in our bags as our fight was not till 8PM .

Overall, I did enjoy my stay in the hotel due staff were mostly friendly and service oriented.

Breakfast is good, but the dinning area was a bit crowded during peak hours (around 08:30am-09:00am). Counter staff has always been very initiative to advise an alternate location for breakfast at the sister hotel.

Not that I can think of during my stay, except for the Quad Room that was given during my initial stay was not as good compared to the second stay. Comparing Room 44 (1st stay for 12 nights) and Room 51 (2nd stay for 2 nights) of the same room type that I have stayed with my family did make a difference as Room 51 was more spacious and comfortable.

Clean rooms, good staff but inadequate WiFi and breakfast could definitely be improved.

Friendly and helpful staff

WiFi was not very good - hardly worked at all our room. There was a strange sliced fried meat instead of bacon for breakfast which was not nice.

Not what we expected...

Friendly, courteous staff. Sufficient (free) parking. Very well located close to Ilford station with frequent transfers to Stratford where you can change to the Underground. Good breakfast - continental (cereals, pastries, etc.) plus freshly prepared hot selection (this comment relates to Best Western Greater London where we transferred to).

We actually didn't stay here as maintenance works seemingly meant there were no rooms close to each other (traveling with youngish family) and so we were moved to the Greater London hotel close by which I believe was a cheaper hotel. Rooms we got were small and double bed still really uncomfortable despite the mattress being changed at our request (big hollow/sag in the middle clearly demonstrated its age). Turkey is no substitute for bacon rashers at breakfast - why not offer both?

We choosed this hotel instead of staying in center and it was goog choise. Train stops 5 min. walk from hotel and for 13.5 £/ adult we traveled all day with public transport. Recomend this hotel for short stay.

Great Hotel To Look Out For In London

The location is very convenient, accessible to most areas as there is a train station nearby with 3-5 minutes walk.

The security access card to the room. Not working for a number of times during my stay. Not much of the problem though, as the counter staff are very helpful.

A very convenient stay

I ended up in the other Hotel in Ilford. I had wanted a Bath and ordered one but they didn't have a room with a bath so the other Best Western had a room which was nice but quite small and with a shower. It suited me well and was so well placed for my work so it is good to know in the future.

I was rather cold in the night and I like a bath to warm me up, but it was all very convenient and the Management were very kind and helpful. Thank yhou!
